He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Hamons and Billie Cooley (Burgess); his stepfather Gene Cooley; his son Michael Shane Hamons; his brother Perry Don Cooley; his wife Alice Small; his son Travis Small (Darice); his sisters, Marilyn Sue Hunt and Betty Jean Crowley; and his grandchildren, Christian Small, Carter Small, Ashlyn Debuhr, Nathaniel and Jeremiah Brackett. He was also cherished by other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to be made to the Sien-Shelton Funeral Home in the Memory Of Roy Hamons.
