She was predeceased by: her parent Mary Vina May Shelton (Willhite); her husband Ernie; and her siblings, George Shelton, Kenneth "Red" Shelton and Laquita Shelton.
She is survived by: her children, Virgil Ray Mitchell and Sheila Harris; her siblings, Calvin Shelton, Virgil "Cub" Shelton, Clifton Shelton, Dorlean Bearden, Peggy Killion, Vi Nail, Hope Flatt and Joyce Barlow; and her stepchildren, Gayle Anders, Dorene Rivera and DeWayne Middleton. She is also survived by six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
