He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Powell and Ellen Powell (Brown). He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Powell; his children, Alicia Mocaby and Dakoda Powell; and his sisters, Belinda Bryan and Carol Cable. He is also survived by two grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
