He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Bell Smith (Reynolds) and Perry Smith. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Faye Brewer; his sons, Floyd Smith Jr. (Sherry) and Art Lee Smith (Pauline); his sisters, Ruby Mitchell and Evelyn Smith; and his grandchildren, Christian Smith, Addison Smith, Corinne Smith and Jayden Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
