He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Clay and Odie Elkins (Roberts); his sisters, Alpha and Bea; and his son Ralph.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley E. McQueen Cole Elkins; his sister Darlene Elkins Cook; his daughters, Donna, Debbie and Rosie; his stepdaughter Elora; and his children, Sarah, Joseph, Jessey, Jacob, Japser and Agustas. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren.
