He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Mitchell and Nancy "Elizabeth" Mitchell (Gregg); his wives, Dora Mae Tacker and Dorthy Mitchell (Dora Mae); his son Michael Mitchell; his stepdaughter Tammara Tacker; and his siblings, Thomas Mitchell, Hudon Mitchell, Mary Margaret Winkler and John Rex Mitchell.
He is survived by: his children, Daniel R. Mitchell (Jeri) of Maud and Janet Proodian (John) of Columbus; his stepson Jim Tacker (Dana) of Oklahoma City; his grandchildren, Meredith Keith (Jon) of Erie, David W. Mitchell of Houston, TX, Merrick McGuire (Tracey) of Edmond, David Proodian of Columbus, Elena Proodian of Columbus, Jordan Tacker of Oklahoma City, Joshua Tacker of Oklahoma City and Phillip Tacker of Oklahoma City; his caregiver Glenda Ellison; and also Denise Mitchell of Dayton. He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
