He was predeceased by: his parents, James William and Minnie Ann Deaton (DeBoard); his siblings, Estle Deaton, Leroy Deaton, Floyd Deaton and Ola Fay Deaton; and his great grandchild Laynie Hope Payne.
He is survived by: his wife Martha "Ann" (Self); his son Carl; his daughter-in-law Evelyn Deaton of Shawnee; his daughter Carrie; his son-in-law Buddy Ward of Sonoita, AZ; his sister Carrie Schwartz of Lindsay, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Lacey (Tyler Holt), Kristen (Brandon Hall), Ian Ward of Sierra Vista, AZ, Conal Ward of Tucson, AZ and Rachel (Jacob Sandoval); and his great grandchildren, Deaton Holt, Jackson Holt, Dawson Hall and Kwyn Sandoval.
