He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse Elliott and Zettalu Elliott (Henson); and his sisters, Fern, Nadine and Etta.

He is survived by: his wife Oleta V. Hunt; his children, Kathy Baker (Charley) of Miami, Oklahoma, Tom Elliott (Gwen) of Sulphur, Oklahoma and Tara D. Elliott of Tucson, Arizona; his stepchildren, Diana L. Heffley of Seminole, Oklahoma, Dan R. McLaughlin of Seminole, Oklahoma and Michael D. McLaughlin of Shawnee, Oklahoma; and his brother Virgil D. Elliott (Eilene) of Texas. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
