She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Nabozny and Agnes Nabozny (Stiefer); her husband Elwood Smith Sr.; and her siblings, Donald Nabozny, Tommy Nabozny and Florence Dandoy.
She is survived by: her sister Marie Duhaine of Michigan; her sons, Charles Swantek Sr. (Deana), Loyal Swantek (Valarie Baldwin), Yancie Swantek (Sherry) and Elwood Smith II; and her grandchildren, Teresa Bailee Swantek, Tammy Swantek, Charles Swantek II (Rebekah), Angela Hill (Clint), Corwin Swantek, Stefani Swantek, Josh Swantek, Blakley Swantek, Cody Odom (Kristen), Whitney SMith and Elwood Smith III. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
