He was predeceased by: his parents, Oralia Maltos, Sr. (Page) and Louis Sr. Maltos; and his siblings, Edward Maltos, Ricardo Maltos, Lucille Hernandez and Janie Huizar.

He is survived by: his wife Audrey Maltos (Georgia); his siblings, Robert Huizar (Alma) and Delores Maltos-Reyna (Ralph); and his children, Teresa Ledbetter, James Maltos (Robbie) and Louis Maltos (Suzanne). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Louis' name to St. Benedict Catholic Church, 632 North Kickapoo Avenue, Shawnee, OK 74801.
