He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmie Brownell, Sr. and Hattie Mae Brownell (Northcutt); his wife Catherine Brownell; his sister Betty Estep; and his friend Jerry Thompson.
He is survived by: his children, Meg Brownell, Regina Foster (Jim) and Jimmie Wes Brownell (Sally); his grandchildren, Jeff Foster (Erin), John Brownell (Heather) and Katie Beth Keck (Jason); his great grandchildren, Ryan Foster, Sydney Foster, Elin Foster, Kelsey Kinnamon, Braden Brownell, Cutter Walker, Jase Keck and Wilson Keck; his great great grandchild Amari Garcia; his nieces, Royia Bell (Larry), Janet Loeffler and Patricia Adamo; and his nephew John Estep.
