We are sad to announce that on May 10, 2023, at the age of 83, James Leslie Harrod of Shawnee, Oklahoma, born in Seminole, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Haskell Charles Harrod and Mesa Daphne Houck Harrod. He is survived by: his sisters, Jean Gholston, Sue Wallace and Sharon Rouse; his girlfriend Mary Jo Brown; his daughters, Christie Crawford and Jody Akehurst; and his grandchildren, Lindsey Crawford, Michael Warren, Cody Crawford, Alisha Akehurst and Kylee Akehurst. He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.

“To his family and friends please accept my condolences. Sending out prayers and comfort. James was such a wonderful person. I have lots memories with him. He tried to take me out with that tractor of his. Lol it was so funny. He felt so bad but about 15min afterwards I had him laughing about it. He was always working on something. Not a day that went by that he didn’t have something to do. And man how he loved his classics. I learned a lot from that man. Fly high James.”
