He was predeceased by: his father Cecil Lee Kernell; and his grandparents, Roland, Beverly Jean Butler, Simeon and Amelia Kernell.
He is survived by: his mother Delores Butler Kernell Colbert (Butler) of El Reno, OK; his son Noah Kernell of Tahlequah, OK; his stepdaughter Courtney Flickinger of Gainesville, OK; his grandchildren, Keira Flickinger and Rowan Flickinger; and his brother Roland James Kernell. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and other extended family and friends.
