Geneva Abney Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Geneva Abney of Shawnee, Oklahoma, born in Hugo, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 1, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Lloyd Richardson and Emma Gesene Richardson (McLemore); her great grandchild Ryton Lane Kinnimon; and her brother-in-law Tommy Satterfield. She is survived by: her children, Alvin Keith Abney (Chandy Rae) of Hugo, OK and Ramona "Mona" Kay Babcock (Scott) of Sawyer, OK; her grandchildren, Brittany Decker Batchelor (Austin), Kimberly Paxson, Keily Self (Landon), Justin Batchelor (Sydney), Tell Abney (Sabrina) and Tieler Abney; her close friend Greg Forbus; and her sisters, Owedia Kay Satterfield and Janice Lanette Cayton (Otis). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Miller and Miller Funeral Home - Hugo (3151 E Jackson St, Hugo, OK 74743).
