It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene C. Stroud of Shawnee, Oklahoma, born in Macomb, Oklahoma, who passed away on July 18, 2023, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Stroud and Vertie Stroud; and his brothers, Josh, Glenn and Keith Stroud.

He is survived by: his wife Joan Stroud; his children, Greg Stroud (Brenda) of Shawnee and Cara Kegin (Glen) of Shawnee; his grandchildren, Zac (Dana Stroud), Tyler (Tomoka Stroud), Alyssa Cawthon and Whitney (Ryan Coots); his great grandchildren, Callaway, Harper, Lyncoln, Baylen, Lyla, Cohen and Kenedi; and his siblings, Nellene Perry, Irene McAlister and Joe Stroud (Vera).
