He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Alverson and Laura Alverson; his son Michael; and his wife Sandie. He is survived by: his former wife Jeannita Stasyszen; his stepchildren, Jason, Philip and Sarah; his children, J. Braeden and Rachel; and his siblings, Darrell and Kathy.

He was active in the community, in charity, and very active in his church, Family of Faith Fellowship, as a founding member and elder.
