He was predeceased by: his parents, Stewart Barnes and Olive Barnes (Gyles); his wife Sharon; and his siblings, Goldie of Melvin, JD, Thelma, Cinda, Norma, Melissa and Rex.
He is survived by: his sons, Curtis (Naomi), Jeffery (Chaun) and Aaron (DeeDee); his nieces, Elwinna and Lana; his sister Dixie (George); his grandchildren, Kristen, Blake Branscum, Emily Barnes, Austin Otts, Ashley, Bill Conway, Stephanie, Jose Maldonado, Lacey and Jay Young; and also Malcom Sanderson. He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.
