He was predeceased by: his parents, James Dean and Lula Mae; and his brothers, Terry, Joe and Roy.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Robert (Fasha Freeman), Mike (Theresa Freeman), Cynthia (Jean-Pierre Farkas), Sheila Varela, Kenny (Peggy Jakubec) and Scott (Amanda Jakubec); his brother Wendell; and his pets, Bear and Muffin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins.
