With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Velena Lillian Carpenter in Seminole, Oklahoma, born in Okemah, Oklahoma, who passed away on July 4, 2021 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Arthur and Julia Sylvesta Pyle (Smith); her husband Calvin Coolidge Carpenter; her daughter Lou Anna Fuller; her sons-in-law, Ron Rogers, David Dowell and John Turner; and her grandsons, Patrick Williams, Michael Dowell, Tony Yelle, Mike Amerson and Rickie Carpenter, Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Riley Arthur Williams (R. A.) of Oklahoma City, Calvin Rickie Carpenter (Kathy) of Okemah, Carl Coy Carpenter (Deedra) of Prague, Lois Aileen Rogers of Tulsa, Julia Jean Marquis (Bobby) of Okemah, Carolyn Sue Morningstar (Clint) of Jenks and Lily Aliene Turner (Ubbie) of Ada; her sisters, Eulonda Lane of Texarkana and Wanda Willingham of Quinton, OK; her son-in-law Wendell Fuller of Okemah; and her great grandchildren, Stevan Parker, Daxx Rogers and Jordan Carpenter. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren, and 33 great-great-grandchildren.
