He was predeceased by: his parents, Ozie Stone and Lana Wood Stone; his son Tommy Joe Stone (T. J.); and his brother Bob Stone. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Jeanine Stone (Ryerson); his sons, Terry Stone (Grace) of Wewoka and John Stone of Seminole; his grandchildren, Bubba Stone, Landon Stone, Case Stone and Thomas Stone; and his sister Becky Stone of Wewoka. He is also survived by numerous relatives and friends.
