He was predeceased by: his father Gail Laidley; his stepmother Wilma Laidley; his mother Novella Rowen; his sister Deena Whitfield; and his stepbrother Daniel Thompson.
He is survived by: his sons, John and Mason Laidley; his stepsister Linda Thompson; and his grandchildren, James, Anna and Derek Laidley. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces.
