She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Hardy and Neila Hardy; her husband Marion Akin; and her siblings, Phyllis Bradshaw, Bonnie Jo Hawkins, Wendell Hardy and Speedy Hardy.
She is survived by: her children, Kris Akin of Sapulpa and Cheryl Nelson (Bo Nelson) of Sapulpa; her grandchildren, Stephanie Akin Eastburn (Dalton) of Sapulpa, Bradley Akin, Shelby Becker of Tulsa, Sheridan Akin of Sapulpa and Kristen Akin of Sapulpa; her great grandchildren, Lauren Eastburn, Baylor Akin and Revin Akin; and also Roma Lu Cotton. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel (1208 S Main St, Sapulpa, OK 74066). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location.
