She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy Hulsey and Effie Hulsey (Zinn); her husband Leroy Gilbert; her children, Raymond, David, Howard Gilbert and Susie Hendricks; her son-in-law Edward Stephens; and her brother Vernard Hulsey.
She is survived by: her sisters, Lola Mae Traver, Hazel Feeback, Ethel Faye McLaughlin and Oleta McDaniel; her children, Joyce Stephens, Linda Williams, Anita Collier (Gilbert) and Jeff Gilbert (Edna); and her daughter-in-law Carolyn Thomas. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 5 great, great grandchildren.
