He was predeceased by: his parents, Rowland Randolph Rampey and Betty Jean Rampey (Swanson); his brothers, William Harold Rampey and Rowland Randolph Rampey II; and his brother-in-law Judge Noel Morris.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Karen Bell Rampey; his children, Rebecca Lee West (Roger West) of El Reno, Mary Margaret Prater (Robert Prater) of Tulsa and Christopher Lars Rampey (Ashley Rampey) of Stuart, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Megan Elisabeth Prater, Mackenzie Renae Prater, Camden David Prater, Audrey Rose Rampey, Nathan Lars Rampey and Alivia Belle Rampey; his sibling Caryl Jean Morris of Broken Arrow; and his sisters-in-law, Sherri Rampey Ward of Broken Arrow and June Rampey Davenport of Prairie Grove. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In December of 2020 John faced down his biggest challenge in life when he caught Covid.
The family has asked in lieu of flowers to please make donations to The Burnt Cabin Christian Camp.
