He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Jay Matney and Anna Francis Lorene Matney (York); his siblings, Bobby Jay, Jerry Wayne, Tommy Louis, James Floyd, Jimmy Lee and Wanda Norma Lee Matney; and his grandson Austin Ray Matney.
He is survived by: his wife Rosa Matney; his sons, Billy Gene Matney of Sapulpa, Danny Matney of Sapulpa and James Matney (TJ) of Sapulpa; his grandchildren, Chelsea Blankenship (Brandon), Faith Matney, Billy Caelan Rhys Matney (Amanda), Madison Matney, Spencer and Dezmond Matney; his great grandchildren, Elora, Elowen, Ronan Matney, Autumn and Ivy Kramer; his brother Buddy Lee Franklin; and his siblings-in-law, Teenie and Paul McGinnis.
Viewing was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Green Hill Funeral Home (400 E Teel Rd, Sapulpa, OK 74066). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Cross Pointe Church (430 E Speer Ave, Sapulpa, OK 74066).
