She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Boyd and Gracie Boyd (Lair); her former husband Elmer Henry Battenfield; and her siblings, Pete, Rowland, Herman, Avril, Effie and Margaret.
She is survived by: her nephew Rev. Ron Newberry; her husband Bob Schmidt; her children, Vicki Clarke, Sheila Moss (Randy) and Mark Battenfield; her stepchildren, Barbie Gomez (Stan) and Mike Smith (Debbie); her grandchildren, Kristi Wood (John), Angela Denton (Brad), Brock Battenfield, Sarah Van Zandt (Drew) and Daniel Donalson; her great grandchildren, Kiyah Dover, Jack Lauder, Clara Denton, Tatum Denton, Bryson Denton and Kaydence Donalson; her great great grandchild Lane Denton; her sister-in-law Teen Boyd; and her niece Nadine Tomlinson. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends.
Viewing was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service (211 E Broadway St, Sand Springs, OK 74063). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Broadway Baptist Church (1000 N Adams Rd, Sand Springs, OK 74063).
