He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Atkins and Dorothy Juanita Gatewood (Nix). He is survived by: his wife Virginia Atkins; his daughters, Shasta Whittenburg (Raymond L.) and Shondra Tribble (Bryan); his sister Rita Michaeli (Bill); his grandchildren, Taylor Ray Whittenburg (Melissa), Savanna Irene Banks (Brandon), Olivia Sedwick, Lane Tribble (Becca), Jay William Tribble and Elizabeth Tribble; his great grandchildren, Breanna, Riley, Isaac, Allison, Nora, Jack, Gabriel, Samuel and Paisley; and his niece Brittany Beshoner.
Viewing was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service (211 E Broadway St, Sand Springs, OK 74063). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Sand Springs Church of Christ (4301 S 113th W Ave, Sand Springs, OK 74063).
