With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jimmy Edward Womack in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, born in Danville, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 25, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Jimmy Edward's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Jimmy Edward has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nannie Sue Womack (Britt) and Norman Lewis Womack; and his brother Tommy Wayne. He is survived by: his children, Michelle Christine (Dale) of Tulsa and Scott Benton (Shelly) of Tulsa; his wife Glenda; and his granddaughters, Madalyn (Tyler) of Tulsa and Meagan (Brenden) of Joplin.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Moore's Southlawn Chapel (9350 E 51st St, Tulsa, OK 74145). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, January 31st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Harvard Avenue Christian Church (5502 S Harvard Ave, Tulsa, OK 74135).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Clarehouse or Harvard Avenue Christian Church music department.
