It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Ray Poyndexter in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, born in Pawnee, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Earnest Poyndexter Sr. and Audrey A. Copeland Poyndexter of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his siblings, William E. Poyndexter II, Thomas Eugene Poyndexter, Ronald Gene Poyndexter of Sand Springs and Gladys Marie Poyndexter Fry; his niece Tamara M. Bailey; and his great-nephew Kevin Patrick Phelps of Bixby, Oklahoma..
He is survived by: his nieces, Cynthia Hays (Johnny Hays) of Mustang, OK and Malinda Rardin; and his nephew Darron Poyndexter of Mannford, OK. He is also survived by Four Great-Nieces; Seven Great-Nephews; Twelve Great-Great-Nieces; Three Great-Great Nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Harvest Time Assembly of God (1511 S 81st W Ave, Tulsa, OK 74127).
