He was predeceased by: his parents, Bessie Mae Petree (Wittington) and Sterling Monroe Petree; his daughter Deanna Petree; his grandson Jonathan Petree; and his sisters, Imogene Booker and Roberta Brisco.
He is survived by: his son William Sterling "Stubby" Petree of Van Buren, AR; and his siblings, Marie Smith of Sallisaw, OK, Joyce Cox of Sallisaw, OK, Leonard Petree (Cecelia) and Carl Petree (Joyce). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
