He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Leona Brewer (Taylor) and Doc Britton Brewer; his wife Edna Mae Brewer (Lockhart); and his siblings, Alene Pyles, Pauline Holder, Maxine Sparkman, Daphine Holder, Raymond, Norman and Curtis Brewer. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Cops and Kids at Christmas – 803 North 9th St. – Ft. Smith, AR 72901.
