He was predeceased by: his parents, Maxine McClure (Sullivan) and Clarence McClure; his daughter Paula Goodwin; and his brothers, David John McClure and Rick McClure.
He is survived by: his children, Theresa Lynn Rogers (Jay), Sheryl Denise Dawson and Linvel Paul Merrill, Jr. (Rhonda); his son-in-law Daryl Goodwin; his grandchildren, Jacob Goodwin, Maegan Miller, Jace Goodwin, Leslie Grass, Lindsey Branham, Lindsay Dawson-Barton, Joshua Dawson and Christian Dawson; his brother Darrell Jan McClure (Margaret); and his sister-in-law Judy McClure-Lincks (Fred). He is also survived by 16 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
