She was predeceased by: her parents, Bob "Junior" Cabe Thornton and Kathryn West (Smith); her brother-in-law Jim Hammil; and her child Glen O. Cleveland of Salina. She is survived by: her husband Dan Matthews; her daughter Angela Mae Starks of Salina; her granddaughters, Sadie Mae Starks and Gentry Lea Starks; her siblings, Linda Benham, Trenda Hammil, James Thornton and Robert S. Thornton, Sr.; her nieces and nephews, Ronnie Moore (Karen), Christina Graham (Colt), Josh Thornton (Lacy), Keely Thornton, John Garet Hammil, Katie Beth Hammil and Robert Thornton, Jr. (Samantha); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Corbin, Hannah Moore, Katelyn, Ivy, Bailey Graham, Autumn Thornton, Evelyn, McKinley, Robin, Aiden and Kynsli Thorton.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Matthews Family Cemetery (1065 N 448 Rd, Salina, OK 74365).
