He was predeceased by: his grandmother Mary Billy. He is survived by: his parents, Willis Dale Backwater and Linda Kay Backwater (Billy); his wife Rebecca; his children, Caleb Backwater of Casa Grande, Emilio Gonzales of Pryor, Larry Martinez of Pryor, Ysidrio Cardenas of Tucson, Arizona and Alyssa Cardenas of Pryor; his sister Katherine Backwater-Teel (Norman) of Kansas; his aunts, Geneva Doerflinger, Mary (Rick Sutter), Ramona McLain, Marilyn Williams and Kendra Jenkins; his uncle Billy Backwater (Karen); his nieces, McKenzie Teel of Kansas and Gwendolyn Teel of Kansas; and his great-aunts, Maxine Gaddis and Ella Mae Chumwalooky. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
