It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sherman Houston Cooper of Rufe, Oklahoma, born in Paris, Texas, who passed away on September 11, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Theo Cooper and Frances Cooper (Reeves); his daughter Karen Cooper-Tims; his grandchildren, Cody Alicia, Colton Phelps, Lucas and Elizabeth Hobbs; and his siblings, Billy Cooper, Leroy Cooper, Daniel Cooper and Leola Abbott.
He is survived by: his children, Eugene Cooper (Angeles) of Houston, TX and Victoria Cooper-Phelps (Michael) of Valliant, OK; his grandchildren, Ashley Churchwell, Katelynn Cooper, Payton Cooper, Jonathon Phelps and Jordan Phelps; his great grandchildren, Mikel, Josie, Braxton, Pepper and Raelee; his siblings, Charles Cooper of Rufe and Lanney Rhea (Richard) of Little Rock, AR; and his siblings-in-law, Carl Abbott and Phyllis Cooper. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; along with a host of other friends.
