Velma Lee Mathis Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 2, 2023, at the age of 93, Velma Lee Mathis of Roosevelt, Oklahoma passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, James Willard and Lillie Muse (Owens); her friend Ramona Cline; her grandsons, Shane Talley, Shannon Talley and Shawn Talley; her children, David Mathis (Vickie) and Mary Johnson (Don); and her sisters-in-law, Melba Hoover and Kitty Lou Talley. She was also cherished by 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, A host of nieces, nephews, and life long friends.
In Lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Roosevelt, as they are recovering from busted pipes and water damage.
