He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Nathan and Jean Johnston; and his siblings, Mary Lou Warren, Judy Ramsey, Jimmie Jean Johnston and James Harvey Johnston.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Dear Johnston; his children, Kevin Johnston of Clarksville, Jamie Johnston of Van Buren, Marsha McNeese of Van Buren, Michelle Johnston of Van Buren and Gail Tabor of Muldrow, Oklahoma; and his siblings, Anna Kay Callahan of Lamar, Geneva Watson of Mableton, Georgia and Robert Johnston. He is also survived by twenty-three grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and other family members.
