She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie William Messer and Paulene Messer (Clemens); her husband Troy Scroggins; her siblings, Don Messer (Betty) and Joyce Hood; her niece Patsy Gail Asbery; and her grandson Leslie Asbery.
She is survived by: her daughter Regina Smith (Larry); her siblings, Roy Messer (Rachel), Marolene Phillips (Earl), Laura Robinson (John), Nancy Messer and Peggy Goforth; her granddaughters, Marie Hurst (Jared) and Amy Bryant; and her great grandchildren, Annabel Hurst, Landon Asbery, Blake Bryant, Lala Bryant, Ashton Bryant and Kaylyn Hurst.
