It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John David Dowell of Ratliff City, Oklahoma, born in Hodgen, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 1, 2022, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence David and Cleo Elizabeth Dowell (Keith); his wife Juanita Dean Dowell (Graham); his sisters, Helen Bowman, Margie Alston and Nila Davis; and his close friend Anita Wickline.
He is survived by: his children, Joyce Scroggins (James) of Fort Gibson, Jodi Robison (Tim Robinson) of Kenefic, Oklahoma, James David Dowell (LeAnne) of Durant and John Dale Dowell of Cushing, Oklahoma; his grandchildren, Jimmy Dowell, Robin Deen, Johnna Morris, April Bohanan, Tony Scroggins, Jenni Jones, Sarah Dowell, Emilly Love, Susan Dowell, Carson Robinson, Brevyn Robinson, Korbyn Robinson and Fynli Robinson; his caregiver Dione Watson; his sons-in-law, James Scroggins and Tim Robinson; and his grandson Jesse Scroggins. He is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephew, other extended family.
