He was predeceased by: his parents, Capp Powell and Elnora Clark Powell; his daughter LaDonna Marie Powell; his grandson Arlando Powell; and his siblings, Bessie Pittmon, Esther Miller, Molly Powell and Raymond Powell.
He is survived by: his children, Phillip Powell of Lexington, OK and Rachael Carter Hooks of Oklahoma City, OK; and his sisters, Shirley Keith of Oklahoma City, OK and Synomia Vealy of Lewisville, OK. He is also survived by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
