It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Coxsey of Quinton, Oklahoma, born in McAlester, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 7, 2021, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Coxsey and Peggy VanHoozer (Grose); his wife Phyllis Coxsey; his son James Roy "Buddy" Coxey, Jr.; and his siblings, David Coxsey, Mike Coxsey and Marcella Coxsey.
He is survived by: his children, Debbie Basden (Steve), Kathy Chapman (Bruce), Christie Leach (Will), Michael Coxsey (Amy Stewart), Jeff Underwood and Stuart Underwood (Teresa) of Quinton, OK.; his grandchildren, Stephanie Ingram, Terra McFarland, Tanya Shelton, Rikki Jo Coxsey, Stoney Basden, Crystal Basden, Shilah Bontrager, Justin Coxsey, Brandy Chapman, Courtney Underwood, Jeffrey Underwood, Sierra Underwood, Ryan Underwood and Beau Underwood; and his sisters, Linda Beams, Cindy Patty, Robin Dixon of McAlester, OK and Sandy Gaylor. He is also survived by Numerous great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
