It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy Alvis Palmer of Putnam, Oklahoma, who passed away on June 7, 2021, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John William Fortner and Lillie A. Fortner (Lewis); her husband Leo Palmer; her daughter Carolyn Joan Walker; her siblings, LaVeta J. Fortner, Loyd W. Fortner, Floyd W. Fortner and John Fortner; and her great grandchild Michael Kewley.
She is survived by: her son Leo H. Palmer, Jr. (Pam) of Stillwater, Oklahoma.; her grandchildren, Rebecca Jo Palmer, Ronald Leo Palmer (Sheila), Regina Renee Kewley (Mike) and Ernest Dean Walker; and her great grandchildren, Dustin, Matt, Holly Jean Hurlbert (Dylan), Cory Palmer, Chase Kewley, Shelbi King (Chandler), Alex and Zach Fehr. She is also survived by six great great grandchildren.
