Wyvonia Marie Young Obituary
Wyvonia Young, 84 of Kempner, Texas (formerly Norman, OK) gained her well-deserved wings on Tuesday 12/31/24 at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. Wyvonia was born April 18, 1940 in Lexington, OK, the second of three children to Earl Edgar McNutt and Ruby Irene McNutt. She met the love of her life, Joseph Allen Young, at a Church of God in OKC and they were married August 1, 1956. While traveling the world with her Air Force husband, she raised two children, Allen and Larue. After 23+ years living the military life, they eventually settled in Oklahoma. Throughout their many years of travel, Wyvonia worked a variety of jobs, ending her work life as an office manager for her husband’s accounting firm. She was the matriarch of the family, known simply as “Grandma” to everyone.
Preceded in death by: her husband, Joseph Allen Young; her parents, Earl & Ruby McNutt; two brothers, Harold Lavonne McNutt and Jimmy Ray McNutt; one great granddaughter, Kristina Young.
Survived by: Her son, Earl Allen Young of Wichita, KS; her daughter, Larue Ann Conner of Kempner TX;
7 grandchildren: Jami Trevino, Joseph Young, Mathew Young, An-drew (Drew) Conner, Lauryn Canto, Natalie Claassen, and Quentin Young.
