It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Scott of Purcell, Oklahoma, born in Ada, Oklahoma, who passed away on November 28, 2021, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alford Franklin and Mary Franklin; her husband Ledrue Scott Sr. (Bud) of Purcell; her children, Roberta Buckner, Kenneth, Harry and Clarence Scott; her grandson Glenn Buckner; and her children-in-law, Gaytha, Deloris, Linda Scott and William Jones.
She is survived by: her children, Joan Thompson (Ester) of Oklahoma City, OK, Izora Jones of Spencer, OK and Ledrue Scott of Purcell, OK; her grandchildren, Angela Hunter, Cynthia Hooks of Azusa, CA, David Scott of Purcell, OK, Brian of Norman, OK, Bradley of Norman, OK, Steven Scott of Norman, OK, Kendra Scott of Goldsby, OK and Eric Thompson of Oklahoma City, OK; and her daughter-in-law Jenifer Scott of Goldsby, OK. She is also survived by great grandchildren; (1) great-great grandchild, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
