It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joy Colwell (Purcell, Oklahoma), who passed away on October 19, 2018, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Carr and Elizabeth Carr; and her husband Huston Colwell. She is survived by: her children, Rickey Colwell (Jan), Robert Colwell and Verna Hernandez (Pablo); her grandchildren, Shannan Shaw (Kyle), Pablo Hernandez, Jr. (Samantha), Derick Colwell (Erin), Josh Colwell, April Colwell, Courtney Colwell, Brittany Cooksey (Cody), Sherry Watkins Darty and Sonya Watkins Hagans (Jim); her great grandchildren, Cadyn Hernandez, Taizen Hernandez, Teagan Hernandez, Hunter Shaw, Gabrielle Colwell, Landon Wells Colwell, Kamlynn Cooksey, Silas Cooksey, Fabian Hill, Kathryn Hagans and Casey Hagans; her sister Kay Daughterty; her sister-in-law Virginia Huddleston of Alice Carr; and her aunt Flossy Bishop of Naomie Mitchell. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
