He is survived by: his wife Nellie; and his children, Joseph Townsend Jr. (Pauline) of High Springs, FL, Lisa Braziel (Curtis) of Purcell, OK, Marsha Godfrey (Donald) of Seguin, TX and Michael Morgan (Lisa) of New Braunfels, TX.
