He was predeceased by: his parents, Charley Reed and Beulah Shepard Reed Conley (Shepard); his son Scott Reed; and his siblings, Danny Reed and Barbara Moshe.

He is survived by: his wife Helen Idlett; his children, Charlotte Hamm (Woody) of Lexington, Crystal Givens (Curtis) of Noble, Jennifer West (Chris) of Purcell, Russell Reed (Lanecia) of Lexington and LaKrisha Northrup (Reuben) of Colorado; his grandchildren, Colbi, Kaleb, Taylor, Brian, Morgan, Dylan, Mason, Jasmine, Colter, Carter, Zeke, Xander, Molly, Quentin, Maggie and Avery; his great grandchildren, Hazel and Knightley; and his siblings, Pat Reed of Texas, Frances Lewis of Kingfisher and Beulah Smith of Kingfisher. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
