It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William M. Chupp (Pryor, Oklahoma), who passed away on September 10, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Chupp and Amanda Chupp (Troyer); his siblings, Levi, Floyd Ray Chupp and Barbara Rasberry; and his stepmother Ann Chupp.

He is survived by: his wife Edith Chupp (Miller); and his sisters, Mary of La Junta, Ruby (Jim Graber) of Newton, Ann (Steve Elliot) of Jenks and Peggy (Billy Dickson) of Manitou Springs, Colorado. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

“I grew up hearing my father, Clinton Bridge, fondly tell stories about his time in Brazil with Bill and still remember the visit to Oklahoma when I was young. I enjoyed reading various articles and letters he sent. Bill felt like family and it was a happy coincidence that I happened to be visiting home and answered the phone a couple months ago when he called. We talked for quite a while and it was like talking to an old friend. My sincere condolences to his family.”

“I felt much sadness when I heard the news of Bill's passing. Bill and my oldest brother, Clinton Bridge, were the best of friends. They were in Voluntary Service together in Brazil back in the day. We looked forward when Bill would come to Virginia to visit. He liked to tease, crack jokes, and keep things lively. He always called me 'Queen' Esther, which I found amusing. Bill will be missed, as he and my brother corresponded regularly. Find comfort in your many memories.”
