He is survived by: his wife Joy Sue Gates; his children, John Duayne (Rita) and Julie Renae Stricklen (Gary); and his granddaughters, Jenny Carrillo (Adrian), Samantha Parker (Tommy) and Jessica Rousseau (Luc).
