He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmond Jasper Rice and Ruby Rice (Littlefield); his brothers, Rogers (Florene Littlefield) and Homer (Jackie Rice); and his son-in-law Earl Hair.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara J. Rice; his daughters, Sonya Heard (Red) of White Oak, OK and Amanda Fraley (Mark) of Adair, OK; and his grandchildren, James Earl Hair (Tiffani), Matthew Fraley (Alana), Jacob Hair, Megan Davis (Kenny) and Michael Fraley (Kasey). He is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
